Users are people who use an implemented and configured SAP system to complete their business activity. The End-User is a customer-based role executing business processes using SAP applications. They are primarily involved during the go-live and run phases of SAP application implementations. Depending on their frequency of usage, you can differentiate occasional, frequent, and power users. They can be internal, but also external users. As content consumers, they often have to ask IT for help to get access to reports that show specific information because they can’t make sense of how they are named and stored. Some content consumers are executives who travel all over the world and need to have the latest and most accurate status on their business at any time. They want a high level summary of where sales are at with easy-to-interpret alerts for anomalies. Inaccurate information is costly for these content consumers.
