SAP Product Lifecycle Management supports the lifecycle of a product from development, procurement and production through to service and ultimately obsolescence and retirement. There are a number of sub-areas of functionality included in this solution, including Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S), Product Data Management and Engineering Document Management. Education is available for two areas.
Enterprise Asset ManagementEAM, formerly referred to as Plant Maintenance, covers functions and processes associated with the monitoring, repair and general maintenance of internal plant, that is machinery and other hardware owned by the organisation itself.
Aftermarket Sales and Service
Aftermarket sales and services is colloquially known as Customer Services. This area includes service processes associated with customers external to the organisation that is repairs and maintenance to customers’ objects, which may be chargeable to the external customer.
