Goals

  • Participants will gain basic knowledge of SAP BW powered by SAP HANA.
  • Explains BW data modeling basics with focus on SAP HANA optimized InfoProviders
  • Introduces to native HANA information view modeling and how this complements BW data modelling in so-called "mixed scenarios".

Prerequisites

Essential

  • Basic knowledge of Data Warehousing

Recommended

  • Experience and sound knowledge of the subject matter in at least one SAP ERP application course.

Course based on software release

  • SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 (SP11) on SAP HANA 1.0 (SPS10)

Notes

  • The BW362 course focuses on participants with practical BW 7.3 modeling experience or participants, who already visited the BW310 and BW330 courses (non-HANA). As no BW fundamentals are explained in the BW362, the new WBWOH1 is most suitable for participants without prior BW experience.
  • Compared to the BW310 course, the new WBWOH1 course focuses on the latest BW on HANA InfoProviders like Advanced DSO, Open ODS View and Composite Provider. Data Extraction and Provisioning is demonstrated with the new Operational Data Provisioning Framework (ODP).
